Paper Airplane Activity
September 7, 2007
We made and flew paper airplanes to learn more about forces and motion in science.

We attached red yarn to the back of each airplane to help us see the path that the airplane took.

First the pairs of students
had to sketch the path that their airplane flew.

Then the students were given a yardstick, measuring tape, and calculator to measure the length of the airplane’s path.

The partners had to work together and problem solve to determine the distance it flew.
