Apples!  Apples!  More Apples!

For the past 2 weeks we have been learning about apples and John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed!  We incorporated our Apple Unit across the curriculum.  We read about apples, wrote about apples, and did a Science experiment with apples.  We also did a Math activity, tasting, and then graphing our favorite apple!  Here are some of the activities that we enjoyed:

-We celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s Birthday by making hats and doing a sequence writing paper about Johnny!

-We enjoyed eating some applesauce.

-We used our 5 senses to do an apple experiment.  The class then chose their favorite apple, red, yellow, or green.

-We made an apple graph.

-Using our new classroom projector, we watched a video from Rainbow Communications called “Apple Farming for Kids”!  This video took the class on a tour of an actual apple orchard.  It also showed how apples were used to make different apple products!
