Ohio's Early Learning Content Standards (from Ohio Department of Education) serve as an important framework for creating appropriate learning experiences and designing teaching strategies to meet the needs of all children.  These standards express a shared vision of what children will experience, learn, and know in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.  These standards will be presented through a center based environment.

Each topic is on going and child initiated.  Items will be placed in the learning environment for children to explore at their specific level.  Stories, art activities, dramatic play equipment, and large muscle activities are adapted according to topic.  No time period is scheduled for a specific theme but will adapt with needs of children.  Some themes might include:
