New Coaching Standards - Sudden Cardiac Arrest

It is our pleasure to announce that the educational materials for coaches as required in the new Sudden Cardiac Arrest Law, also known as Lindsay’s Law, are finished and were made available for your use  on July 10, 2017 through the Ohio Department of Education’s new Learning Management System (LMS).

However, we have received word from ODE that although many coaches already have completed their review of these materials, the staff at ODE discovered that some individuals were not able to access the LMS through their SAFE accounts as expected.

For any individuals who are having difficulty accessing the LMS, the Department suggests that districts ask these applicants to review the video and informational handout on the Ohio Department of Health website

Stay Current with Ontario Sports News

The Ontario Athletic Department will no longer be using the website Ohioalerts.org for managing updates on game scores and changes for Ontario's sporting events. Instead, parents, coaches, and athletes can receive updated sports news by using twitter@millerct22 and/or the website www.remind.com (which is similar to Ohio Alerts).

If you use the Remind site, be sure to sign into the site as either a student/parent or a teacher. You will be directed to Subscribe to your class by filling in the class code box.  Type in: ontarioa in the box and click Enter.  You will then be asked to join Mr. Miller's Ontario Athletics. Click on the blue box and you will then be directed to determine how you wish to be contacted.
